The Bludgeon family is a murderous, twisted, inbred, backwoods family that has been plaguing the locals for decades. They may be responsible for hundreds of missing, tortured, and murdered victims. Several of the Bludgeon family members have been arrested over the years, but none were ever convicted. Unfortunately, no witnesses survived to testify against any of the family members. Some witnesses simply disappeared, others died around mysterious circumstances.

The few people that still remember, say the family was very secluded; doing everything for themselves at the farm. Raising their own crops, slaughtering their own meat, and even performing medical and dental procedures on each other. That is until they fell onto hard times. Witnesses reported that they were using black magic to experiment on the crops, the poor farmhands, and the surrounding neighbors.

They created unnatural abominations in their attempt to make the farm more profitable. Being unsuccessful in the end, the farm was foreclosed on by authorities. What the police found was a gruesome scene of human corpses and some disturbing, unspeakable creatures.

2025: The Nightmare Continues

A traveling carnival has come to town, none the wiser that the place they chose to set up was the former domain of The Bludgeon Family. The terrible acts that the Bludgeon’s comitted still reverberate through the eather, corrupting the land and all those who enter it. The townsfolk take the carnival as a sign that the evil that once gripped the site has faded away. Soon they will discover that their sense of security was deeply misguided. They soon will become the next victims.

2024: The Bludgeon Aftermath

The Bludgeon Family, try as they might to save their family farm from the clutches of The Woods Witch, simply couldn’t provide a large enough offering to prevent her return. As is always the danger with powerful dark magics, The Woods Witch claimed the entire Bludgeon Family for eternal servitude. Though the farm now sits foreclosed and abandoned, the souls of the Bludgeons and the memories of their gruesome acts haunt the land that is now Nightfall Acres. It is said that any who dare venture onto this cursed grounds do so at their peril.

2023: The Witch's Curse

15 years ago, the Bludgeon Family fell on hard times. Grandpa Bludgeon – the family patriarch – a man who embodied the family’s reputation in the community of “questionable morals,” would do whatever it took to ensure his Granddaddy’s farm stayed in the family.

One late autumn night Grandpa Bludgeon awoke from a terrible nightmare. He recalled the campfire tales that he was told as a boy of an ancient witch that haunted the forests around the family farm for generations. Her well-spring of dark and corrupt magic sustained her for all this time. Grandpa Bludgeon craved that sustenance for himself and his family. He quickly got dressed, gathered his lantern and headed out into the woods to seek his deliverance.

No one knows for sure just what happened that night. It is rumored that Grandpa Bludgeon made a deal of the worst kind with the witch – Human souls harvested in the most gruesome of fashions. 15 Years of FEAR in exchange for 15 years of the Bludgeon family’s prosperity. When the time expires, the Witch will lay claim to her final dividend- Grandpa Bludgeon’s soul in perpetual servitude to his ancient Mistress.

The Bludgeon family tree has twisted roots. Roots that go deep into the darkness that Grandpa Bludgeon guides his family ever towards.

For decades he has been the puppet master behind the monstrous deeds of the family, a role he takes great pride in.

But now, the time has come for Grandpa Bludgeon to come out of the shadows and take a more direct approach to family affairs.
